Is the ERJ Family compatible with X-Plane 12?
The current release of the ERJ Family v1.4.3 was optimized for X-Plane 11. It can be used in X-Plane 12, but it is not fully optimized to make use of the new X-Plane 12 systems and lights. For best experience please update to the latest version.

The planes will make use of the new rendering of X-Plane 12, so they will look much better.

Known issues:
Starting the engines requires the use of CTRL + SHIFT + E if starting from cold and dark
Since the lighting system is completely different in X-Plane 12, the light cast onto objects on the current ERJs will appear extremely bright, and you won’t see the light itself. This might later become part of the patch, however for the time being, you’ll have to live with it.
The PLAN mode of the map is not available.
When will a fully optimized ERJ Family be released for X-Plane 12?
We just released the brand new E-Jets Family and we will spend the next few months making sure that the E-Jets are updated to a very stable version.
After that, we are planning to start working on the ERJ Family v2, whichwill bring a new FMS, a new High-Resolution Nav Map, a new EFB, a completely new flight model, some system improvements, and this release will also make the ERJ Family fully optimized for X-Plane 12.
Due to all the time and effort invested into adding all of these features, we expect that this will be a paid upgrade (probably around $10-15) for existing customers of the ERJ v1.

Systems & Autopilot
- Most of the systems configured like on the real jets based on the input from our real ERJ pilots.
- Custom Autopilot climb and descend modes which simulate the real Autopilot modes.
Avionics
- High-resolution and accurate rendition of the PFD, MFD and EICAS screens.
- Correct Startup Sequence with screens and instruments loading based on the loads on electrical buses.
3D Visuals
- We worked for thousands of hours to perfectly replicate the interior and exterior of the aircraft. This includes correct proportions, materials, colors, and wear & tear.
FLIGHT MODEL
- The flight characteristics and performance was tested and approved by real E-Jet pilots.
FMS
- There are two FMS units installed on the pedestal: Custom TEKTON FMS© by Steve Wilson (More details below) and the X-Plane FMS by Philipp J. Münzel
- Please note that these are not replicas of the FMS units usually installed on the jets.
- A new Authentic FMS is planned after we release the E-Jets Family.

I’ve been flying the EMB 145 and 135 Shuttle for the airlines and corporate shuttle since 2004. I have flown as both the Captain and the First Officer and have over 7000 hours in type to date. I worked closely with Marko to help make the plane as authentic as he could to the best of his ability. The ERJ family has incorporated animations, sounds, and switch logic based on videos from a real EMB 135.The cockpit textures and details are world class and actually so close to real life that it would be possible for someone to practice and learn “flows” that are used in real life to fly the real plane. The only sim that I’ve seen that is more realistic is the actual level D full-motion sim that is used for training.
X-Craft’s ERJ Family are the planes with more realistic details I’ve seen in years, the inside and outside look like the real thing. Systems, how it flies, make me feel like in the real plane. As a professional pilot flying in real life the ERJ145, I strongly recommend this product, you’ll love it. Enjoy, blue skies and happy tailwinds!
